    Microsoft Windows logo
In conjunction with Microsoft’s decision to go Metro with its user interface for Windows 8, it looks like the company might be giving its iconic logo a redesign as well. According to reports online, the four colored square window-flag we’re so used to seeing might be revamped to a simple monochromatic, highly-stylized window logo. While it clearly is suitable for the whole Metro look that Microsoft is going for, it is a huge departure from what we’re so used to seeing. Perhaps it’s for the best?

No word on whether the Consumer Preview that will be unveiled at MWC will feature this new Windows logo, but it would be interesting to see how well it catches on with the world. Assuming this new logo turns out to be the real deal, what are your thoughts about it? Should have Microsoft gone in a different direction with the redesign?
