    Sharp RW-T110 tablet arrives late
It seems that the Sharp RW-T110 tablet is being rolled out in Japan, and although heralding the introduction of any new device ought to make one happy or skip around with some joy, I do not think that this is quite the case, considering how this particular 10″ tablet comes with hardware specifications that seem so 2011. We are talking about a 10.1″ display at 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution, running on a 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 dual-core processor, not to mention Android 2.3 Gingerbread as the operating system of choice. Seriously, when the world has already moved on to Ice Cream Sandwich (or at least give it Honeycomb, a tablet-centric version of Android), why did Sharp shove in Gingerbread instead? Other hardware specifications include 8GB of internal memory, a 6,240mAh battery, GPS support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity. What makes the Sharp RW-T110 tablet stand out from the rest of its mediocre specifications would be NFC capability that paves the way for mobile payments and other really short-range wireless transactions. It does not seem as though it will go international though. No loss there.
