There is a unique class of vegetables that are naturally enriched with special nutrients, specifically phytonutrients, that can aid in the battle against stubborn belly fat.  What are phytonutrients you ask? In layman’s terms they are vegetables that have positive health effects.
First, there are two types of chemicals that are associated with belly fat. The negative types are chemicals known as xenoestrogens.  These are found everywhere such as our food supply, our environment; including both the air we breathe and the water we drink.
Also, they are found in plastics, cosmetics, etc.  When we come into contact with xenoestrogens they have negative reactions with your hormones, thus forcing your body to store excess belly fat.Unfortunately, there is no way around these harmful chemicals in the modern world.  Continued exposure to these chemicals will eventually cause a hormone imbalance, thus throwing a wrench in your body make-up.  Also, please note that stubborn belly fat affects both men and women.
You Should Eat Your BroccoliCruciferae, according to dictionary.com, is a large family of plants with four- petaled flowers; including mustards, cabbages, broccoli, turnips, cresses, and their many relatives. So, in order to fight harmful chemicals such as xenoestrogens, as noted above, you should incorporate at least  three servings per day.  It’s not that hard to squeeze in three servings of vegetables per day.  Especially, if you are looking to burn abdominal fat.

Speaking of broccoli, one serving equals a cup (8 oz.). If you don’t have a measuring cup or are away from home, you can estimate that five or six broccoli florets is the equivalent.  Also, if you want to eat leafy greens you will have to double up and eat two cups.
More Foods That Burn Abdominal FatLeafy greens are not the only are not the only vegetables in the battle against reducing belly fat. There is also cauliflower, brussels sprouts (these look like tiny cabbages), bok choy (a Chinese cabbage that is really ‘leaffy’), and more!
Remember, you are eating foods that burn belly fat so be sure to cook them in a healthy manner which includes steaming them, sauteing (Extra Virgin Olive Oil is best), or roasting and grilling are the healthiest manners in which to cook.  Please don’t bread or deep fry.  Sounds ridicules to deep fry broccoli or turnips doesn’t it? I was at a restaurant recently when they offered me a deep fried Oreo for desert.
