  • PHNOM PENH (Herald) – Khmer Kampuchea Krom Federation leaders plan to join a ceremony at Tronom Chreng Temple in Phnom Penh's Porsen Chey district on February 27, the fifth anniversary of the death of monk Ang Sothoeun who was killed while praying in front of the Vietnamese Embassy, sources said Friday.

Soeun Chum Choun, head of the Khmer Kampuchea Krom Youth System, said the plan aimed to show the public that Ang Sothoeun was murdered and urge authorities to capture the assailant who is still at large.

About 200 people including 27 monks are expected to take part in the ceremony on February 27.
