    Preventing Blood Clots
There are a number of reasons why preventing blood clots can be very helpful and I hope to share some major ones with you in this article. Blood clots are caused when blood clumps together and is connected by something known as fibrin. Contrary to what some people believe not all blood clots are evil and some can even be good in situations. To give you an idea on this suppose you received a cut on your finger. Without the ability to clot blood someone could potentially bleed to death. Now with Band-Aids it’s more difficult but it also stops harmful bacteria from entering someone’s body. The main vitamin that is in charge of this is vitamin k.

Now blood clots can also be very bad as well. Say for instance this blood clot occurs in an artery also called a thrombusthat carries blood from the heart to various tissues that need it. This clot could restrict nutrients to these cells and could cause damage. Also if the clot got big enough than it could restrict blood fully and this would result in a heart attack. A blood clot could also occur in someone’s vein which carries blood to the heart and this would be bad as well. This could result in inflammation and pain in the area of the blockage. If it was severe enough than the blood clot could break loose and travel to the lungs and this is called pulmonary embolism and could result in difficulty breathing and even death.

One way someone can prevent blood clots is with omega 3. The reason for this is because omega 3 can naturally thin someone’s blood. When someone has thin blood nutrients can flow easily through the body helping various organs and tissues receive more oxygen and nutrients. This can put less of a work load on the heart as well as put less pressure on artery walls preventing an aneurysm and blockage. An aneurysm is when there is a tear and blood collects in an opening creating a bulge which could break and lead to internal bleeding. If there was a blood clot having thin blood helps because nutrients would have an easier time going around the clot and reaching their destination.

The biggest challenge with omega 3 is due to the fact that it can be difficult to get. This is because many of the food that provide omega 3 just doesn’t taste as good as many other food. One option that I recommend is something called fish oil. This product is usually more safe than eating fish, it doesn’t have a horrible taste and most of the time can save someone money. There is one product I recommend over many others due to the quality and safety of it. The product I really like stops more than 2 times the inflammation than regular fish oil and also is one of the purest around.
