Rubber, rice exports up sharply in 2011

  • PHNOM PENH  - The value of rubber exports more than doubled to $201 million in 2011, up from from $86.8 million in 2010, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

    In a report released Tuesday, the ministry also said that rice exports almost tripled from $35.2 million to $103.8 million in the same period.

    Export volumes grew less sharply. The report said rubber exports rose from 30,000 tons to 46,700 tons while rice exports climbed from 140,000 tons to 170,000 tons. source: Herald
