  • PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - The Cambodian Civil Society League said Monday it had sent a letter to Justice Minister Ang Vong Vathana asking for the release of 10 Borei Keila residents arrested in a clash with police last week.

The letter said that police and security forces armed with rubber bullets and teargas bulldozed the homes of 200 families at Borei Keila and that villagers fought back by throwing rocks, leaving many injured.

As of Monday morning, the league said it had not received a reply from the justice minister.
