PHNOM PENH (CEN) - Cambodian authorities have turned down a Thai military request for about 500 monks and Yellow Shirt activists to cross into Cambodia to offer Buddhist prayers at Phnom Troap, sources said.The sources said the request to travel to the mountain was made Sunday and rejected by Rear Admiral Srey Dek, commander of Special Brigade No 3.The situation on the mountain in Preah Vihear province appeared tense after the request was turned down.
