PHNOM PENH, (Cambodia Herald) - The Khmer Rouge tribunal on Tuesday resumed hearing evidence in the trial of former leaders Khieu Samphan, Nuon Chea and Ieng Sary today, a spokesman said.
Neth Pheaktra, press officer at the UN-backed Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, said the hearing was expected to focus on testimony by Nuon Chea, the former deputy leader of the Communist Party of Kampuchea which ruled the country from 1975 to 1979.
Hearings will last from January 10 to February 16 before resuming on March 16. The trial started in November.
