If you’re an iTunes Match user, you probably would’ve noticed a bug that’s been plaguing your music collection – depending on the music you listen to. According to reports online, the service has been matching songs to wrong versions, giving users censored versions of explicit tracks. In case you weren’t clear about iTunes Match, it is a paid service from Apple which scans your music collection and matches it with tracks on the iTunes database which you can then stream/download to your iOS devices.
Thanks to this bug, a lot of people can’t enjoy their music collection without having to hear words replaced, bleeped out or just removed from the song entirely. Even the album cover art has been replaced by the clean versions in some cases. Fortunately Apple has acknowledged this as a problem and are working on a fix. As to when it will arrive – we don’t know yet. How many of you have encountered this issue, and have you discovered any workarounds?
